Manifesto.
JUST ABOUT EVERYTHING in this world these days brings us together. Virtually.
I recall from when I was a young child hearing that, in the world of advertising, the word virtually meant not in fact. It’s virtually free!
What the world needs now is for people to be brought together, actually.
To actually connect people to people, people to nature and yes, people to themselves. Escucha has the audacity to believe it can do such a thing.
BECAUSE AT ESCUCHA WE ARE ACTUALLY CONVINCED THAT PEOPLE ARE HAPPIER & HEALTHIER WHEN CONNECTED TO NATURE, when connected to each other & when connected to themselves. That people, when gathered together in like minds – or, even unlike – sharing their lives, are more complete.
We believe that people are happier & healthier when they can focus on things of deeper meaning (rather than stressing about “housekeeping”), when they can contribute to their community & society as a whole and - here’s the trivial part - we believe that people are happier & healthier when surrounded by beauty.
We believe that the whole is greater than the sum of parts.
While the goal of everything this world invents seems to be to push us towards more & more independence, ESCUCHA IS SETTING OUT TO CREATE A LITTLE INTERDEPENDENCE. Yes, let us depend on the trees, let us depend on others, let us depend on ourselves. Let us teach one another. Let us learn from one another. Because when we depend on each other we look out for each other. All for one. One for all.
Rather than block it all out, let’s let it all in.
Rather than riding in the HOV lane, let’s go together.
On a darned nice bus.
